Completed in May of 2010 , Luna Park is the first new amusement park in Coney Island in over 50 years. Construction lasted only 100 days, encompassing structural support, infrastructure and installation of 19 major amusement park rides. This extremely limited time schedule mandated simultaneous mobilization of multiple subcontractors in triple. The complexity of the project required extensive coordination with local, state and federal municipal agencies for filing approvals and compliance with government regulations. Internationally manufactured equipment and rides called for coordination between Italian specifications and our own design and construction teams. Inspiron’s Principal Alen Gershkovich served as Lead Project Director, overseeing every aspect of the build. Construction of the park was a huge success. Drawing over 450,000 community members and tourists to the area, Luna Park continues to play an integral role in the ongoing revitalization of Coney Island.
