Inspiron worked on the construction of a six-story building, bypassing portions of an existing one-story structure on site. Our firm was responsible for setting a new cast-in-place, reinforced concrete columns, shear walls, and foundation walls are supported by the construction of new foundations independent of the walls and foundation of the existing structure.
The building’s façade will feature a custom-designed, automated, wood and metal screen system that will provide privacy and light control for the residents and architectural interest for the building..Specific challenges to this project include: coordinating and sequencing temporary shoring work on the existing structure while building the new structures. Drilling SOE and foundation piles with limited overhead clearance. Project site is located in a flood zone, restricting depths of excavation.
